How can I win my ex-boyfriend back?

We dated for 5 years, but broke up a couple of years ago because he had to move to egypt for work and we couldn't do long distance. I've always been in love with him and I know he feels that somehow, we are meant to be. The problem is that while he was away, he told me he got to discover african and arabic cultures from different countries and dated a couple of girls and he now feels that he has a preference for african and arabic women. I know people say love sees no color but ever since he came back, I feel like he's not as attracted to me anymore. I am not racist because beauty comes in different shapes and forms, but I really don't know how to win him back. When I came back from my cruise with a tan and I had coloured my hair darker, he told me I had never looked more beautiful. He's single right now and whenever we spend time together, we both feel the connection. I really love him and I don't want anyone else. How can I win him back?
