Is it true In canada immigrants take jobs?

I don't want to sound prejudice or racist, but I have literally applied for so many jobs everywhere. But all I see is immigrants working in the places I would like to. Is it that they are more qualified then me? I'm sixteen trying to look for my first long-term job, and I just cant seem to get one.
