How do Asian people text?

Although the first person obviously didn't read your question properly, and said something which implied that it was a stupid question, I think it's a very good one. I don't really know though, I'm guessing that instead of pressing one key for each character, they press a few keys and specific combinations of key presses causes different characters to form.
